OYH-RC Management
Executive Director
The Executive Director, Prof. Patrick McGorry oversees all operations of OYH-RC and reports directly to the OYH-RC Board and provides leadership, strategic direction and guidance to the organisation. Prof McGorry also provides direct line management for the General Manager, and the leadership teams in OYH-RC as well as providing scientific input into all research areas and support for senior level researchers.
Deputy Director of Research
The Executive Director has recently appointed a Deputy Director of Research, Professor Anthony Jorm, to assist him. This is a key academic leadership role within OYH-RC. Its principal focus is to assist in setting annual and longer-term goals for research performance and to regularly discuss performance against previously set goals with senior researchers. In supporting senior staff, the Deputy Director of Research also works to assist senior researchers in identifying and dealing with barriers to research performance.
General Manager
The General Manager, Mr. John Moran, provides operational management of the Centre and the interfaces with the Clinical and Advocacy, Resources & Training programs. He has the management responsibility for a range of projects, programs and portfolios including major service development, finance and corporate management, development of new projects and initiatives, and establishment and maintenance of key relationships with stakeholders.
Director, Strategy, Development and Policy
The position of Director of Strategy, Development and Policy, Ms. Kerryn Pennell, provides high-level executive support, strategic guidance and operational management in the areas of strategic development and direction, organisational change, corporate and research governance and organisational risk management. It also has a key role in workforce management and planning across Orygen Youth Health Clinical Program. Other responsibilities range from managing the start up/implementation of major developments, to improvement and management of internal/external processes, to development of new initiatives and projects.
Senior Academic Researchers
Senior Academic Researchers are responsible for the management of their respective research project areas including allocated research staff.
