Associate Professor Warrick Brewer

Warrick Brewer completed his Psychology Honours at James Cook University of North Queensland in 1991; this was followed by a Masters in Neuropsychology at the University of Melbourne in 1994, and then a PhD in 1999 through the Mental Health Research Institute of Victoria. His clinical and research interests focus on tracking and understanding the development of psychosis from a neuropsychological perspective, with emphasis on olfaction; his work includes an edited book, and over 85 publications, and has attracted media attention along with various national and international awards.

 
Currently he is an Associate Professor and Principal Research Fellow in the University of Melbourne - Centre for Youth Mental Health, located at Orygen Youth Health Research Centre, where he leads the clinical and research neuropsychology program. He is also the Specialist Clinical Consultant for the EPPIC program with a focus on antisocial disengaged clients. He is funded by the Colonial Foundation and in 2007 was awarded a 5 year NHMRC Career Development Award.
