Dr Debra Foley

Dr. Debra Foley is a Senior Lecturer at the Orygen Youth Health Research Centre and the Centre for Youth Mental Health at The University of Melbourne and Deputy Director of the Australian Twin Registry. Following completion of her doctorate at La Trobe University Dr Foley worked at the Mental Health Research Institute of Victoria before moving to the USA to undertake post-doctoral training in psychiatric genetics. Dr Foley spent a decade working at the Virginia Institute for Psychiatric and Behavioral Genetics which is a part of the Medical College of Virginia Commonwealth University. In 2006 Dr Foley returned to Australia to work at the Orygen Youth Health Research Centre where she heads up an Applied Genetics Unit.
