Overview

Suicidal behavior, including self-harm, is common among adolescents. Studies have shown that approximately 5-7% of students have engaged in deliberate self-harm over the 12 months prior to be surveyed.  There is also evidence that the majority of young people who do engage in suicidal behavior do not seek help.
