Psychotic-like experiences in a community sample of adolescents
This project assessed over 800 Year 10 students from Western Melbourne in 2004 regarding their well-being, psychiatric symptoms, coping style, and a range of other variables. A main focus was on psychotic-like experiences, their correlates and outcomes. Three waves of data collection are planned (baseline – now complete, 12 month follow up – now complete, and 3 year follow up – currently underway). At baseline a battery of neuropsychological tests were administered to assess neurocognition as a factor influencing outcome of psychotic-like experiences.
